As the infection of the new coronavirus spreads rapidly, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's monitoring meeting plans to raise the alert level of the infection situation to the second from the top at the meeting on the 13th.

The increase has been for the second straight week, and it is the second level from the top since September last year.

In Tokyo, the number of confirmed infections on the 12th exceeded 2000, which is more than five times that of one week ago, and the average for seven days was 1148.7, which is more than eight times that of the previous week.

In response to the rapid spread of infection, the Tokyo Monitoring Council, which is analyzed and evaluated by experts, plans to raise the alert level of both the infection situation and the medical care provision system at the meeting on the 13th.

Of these, the infection status will be raised to the second from the top of the four stages.

The increase has been for the second straight week, and it is the second level from the top since September last year.

In addition, as the number of inpatients is increasing, the alert level of the medical care provision system will be raised by one step from the current lowest level to the third level from the top.

It's been the third level since last November.
