Muhammad Al-Faki Suleiman: We will announce the formation of Parliament at the end of this month, and there is no place for the military in it

He added in his speech to an episode (12/1/2022) of the "Without Borders" program that before the coup, a great stride had been made in choosing the names that would form this parliament, and the committees working on forming it did not stop even after the coup, and after the parliament was formed, a competent government will be formed. Independent and will not be a government of parties.

Al-Faki accused the Sudanese authorities of brutally dealing with the demonstrations against the military coup since last October 25, and as a result of this dealing, many people were killed and injured in the ongoing demonstrations.

He added that the talk of the coup authorities about their security measures in preventing the demonstrations from reaching the presidential palace is an excuse to justify the use of force against civilians. Several of the shooters have been referred to trial.

He added that the partnership with the military fell by the coup against the constitutional document, and it is not possible to return to the partnership with this component because we, as civilians, have lost confidence in it, and the bet today is on the revolting street that rejects military rule and calls for civilian rule with full powers, and the place of the military is the barracks and not the chairs of government.

Regarding holding the elections on time according to the constitutional document, Muhammad Al-Faki Suleiman stressed that it is impossible for the elections to take place with the presence of this government, because the people do not trust them, which makes them threatened with fraud, and the results are not acceptable, and the government that supervises the elections must be a consensual government. .

He added that it is necessary to dissolve the Sovereignty Council, which is controlled by the military, and to choose a civilian figure to head the government, who will have the security and military agencies in her hands, and works to provide basic services and prepare for holding the elections, which are fair and transparent without the interference of any force to influence them.

Al-Faki concluded his speech that the forces of freedom and change refuse to talk about getting out of the crisis by the civil party without stopping the military component, which overturned all agreements in the country and threw the constitutional document to the wall. completely."
