Chiba Prefecture announced on the 12th that it has confirmed that a total of 15 men and women in their teens to 70s have been newly infected with the Omicron strain.



All are mildly ill, have no history of staying abroad, and are considered to be community-acquired.



Eleven of them had completed their second vaccination.



This brings the total number of infected Omicron strains confirmed in Chiba Prefecture to 76, of which 62 are believed to be community-acquired.
