A young citizen regained the ability to move and walk, after suffering severe injuries and broken bones, as a result of an accident while driving his car. The Emirati young man, Owaida Al Qubaisi (21 years), had an accident while driving his car, which led to his overturning and his exit from it, and the accident caused separate fractures All over his body and severe injuries caused him harm.

Owaida entered the Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital in Abu Dhabi under the intensive rehabilitation program for post-acute cases, and the medical team performed all necessary assessments and procedures, including initial examinations, radiographs and magnetic resonance imaging, and it was found that the injury greatly affected him, and led to damage in the lower part of the body. Inability to move on his own, and within two months of intensive rehabilitation using the latest technological technologies based on robotics, artificial intelligence and virtual reality, Awadah was able to walk with a crutch.

The hospital’s CEO, Dr. Mishaal Al Qasimi, said: “The young man was unable to move or stand when he entered the hospital, so a multidisciplinary medical team immediately took over the development of a rehabilitation program tailored to his condition, which included many sessions of physical, physical and occupational therapy, in addition to nutrition programs tailored to his condition.” .
