(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) The source of this round of epidemic in Shenzhen may be overseas items

China News Agency, Shenzhen, January 10th (Zhu Zuying) Lin Hancheng, a second-level inspector of the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, said at a press conference on the 10th that based on the existing clues of the flow, a preliminary study concluded that the source of this round of epidemic in Shenzhen may be for foreign items.

Lin Hancheng said that the case 1 in this round of epidemic in Shenzhen, Wang, worked in the international supply chain of goods and had a recent history of contact with overseas items.

Comprehensive analysis shows that the outbreak is a local epidemic caused by overseas imports, and exposure to overseas new coronavirus-contaminated items is highly likely to cause infection.

It is reported that from January 7 to 17:00 on January 10, Shenzhen has reported a total of 4 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, belonging to the same transmission chain.

Four cases are currently in hospital and are in stable condition.

According to Lin Hancheng, as of 17:00 on the 10th, no new cases were found in Shenzhen.

Epidemiological investigation and virus tracing of this epidemic show that the virus strains infected by the four cases are all delta variants (AY.103 evolutionary branch), and are 100% homologous.

In addition, from 12:00 on January 7th to 24:00 on January 9th, the nucleic acid screening of all staff in Shenzhen this round has completed a total of 22.1878 million nucleic acid samples.

Except for the positive cases that have been found, the rest of the results were negative.
