Because it is without shame that the author leads us into his private life
made of excess, of chaos as if caught in a conscious but unstoppable turmoil.
His diary is an endless spiral, a night made of drugs, of worldliness where he shamelessly plays the essential plates that good society feasts on.
Because Simon Liberati loves women and the stories they constantly
send back to him like a distorted mirror.
Finally, the appeasement will come from a meeting, one that will become in his real life, his wife.
Because if we cannot get tired of this book,
it is because the author is a fine literate, he lives in the literature of other centuries where he draws a great source of pleasure.
And he shares his favorites by offering us passages, quotes and many anecdotes which denotes an additional excess.
The pace of Liberati is frantic.
Because behind this image of a picnic and
an unmanageable night owl, hides a beautiful feather which outlines a character much deeper than his superficial mundaneities.
A human being who suffers for his own existence and finds in that of others, often the simplest and those of strangers, a source of hope if it does not come at the end of the book by a loving redemption.
