The "Lanmei Express Line" takes only 26 hours from Kunming, China to Vientiane, Laos, which is significantly shorter than the normal running time of international freight trains.
[Explanation] At 11:30 a.m. that day, the first "Lanmei Express" train of the China-Laos Railway was loading Yunnan flowers, vegetables and other products at the Kunming Central Station of China Railway Union. The special railway freight trains will arrive in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, the next day after the loading is completed.
The first cargo on the Lanmei Express Line weighed 507.3 tons and the cargo value was RMB 1.48 million.

The "Lanmei Express" train has the advantages of being suitable for customs clearance, fixed-point, fixed-line, timing, pricing and one-stop direct access. Compared with other China-Laos international freight trains, it has faster customs clearance, higher running speed, controllable arrival time, online line It is a "passenger-vehicle" freight product with a fixed cycle between Kunming, China and Vientiane, Laos.
[Explanation] It is understood that the "Lanmei Express Line" will open 2 lines per week at the initial stage, and will gradually increase the number of lines in the later stage according to market conditions, which can meet the requirements for the delivery time of fruits and vegetables, flowers, electronic products, and fast-moving consumer goods. cargo transportation needs.

At present, the categories of goods on the China-Laos railway are increasing continuously, from feed, fertilizer and general merchandise products in the initial stage of opening to electronics, communications, photovoltaics, flowers, vegetables, automobiles and some textiles.
The destination of the goods has covered more than 10 countries (and regions) such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh (country).
