The proposal for "feeding stations for cats", published last week, has found great support and wide acceptance among cat lovers, pets, and even bird lovers.

They affirmed their willingness to donate food to cats, even in stations far from their homes, seeking the face of God Almighty and the mercy of this weak animal.

Because we are looking for a practical, logical and inexpensive solution, I cannot, for example, force my neighbor or even urge him to bring cats into his house to feed them, as people with kind hearts do.

Therefore, a station or corner feeding cats or pets in public parks in general is the ideal solution for cats in residential neighborhoods.

There are people who are bothered by the presence of cats without harming them, and there are cruelties who slander them or frighten them for no reason other than that they have a false stereotype that they are dirty, and as a result of their lack of knowledge of the stories of animal welfare that abound in our true religion.

There is a clear prohibition on frightening animals in the Prophetic Sunnah (except for the immoral ones mentioned in an honorable hadith), exemplified by the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, changing the course of the Muslim army during the conquest of Mecca so that it would not be afraid of a dog that was breastfeeding its young.

We also need to reduce the number of cats in our neighborhoods by removing their reproductive organs.

The cat does not give birth to one, but to three or four.

This type of operation is a mercy for this animal and rid it of the suffering of going into the mating process and modify its behavior for the better, in addition to that it protects cats from many diseases that spread among cats alone and are not transmitted to humans.

A cat may lose her young or neglect them and leave them to the harsh street life, so they get sick or get into accidents, get injured or die.

There are countries that have pioneering experiences in this field, such as Japan, which sterilized about 80% of the cats there, as well as Germany and Britain, which have made advanced strides in this direction.

Owning a pet is not just a hobby or a passion but a culture in our time. It is our partner in the planet and it is the creation of the Lord of the Worlds. It is not permissible to get rid of it in vain and throw it in a place where it cannot find food and water, as some do.

If you want to dispense with your cat, find someone who adopts him and takes him in. If you find a kind hearted person, ask him to return the cat to you in case he does not want him anymore, or if he finds another kind heart to shelter him.

This is a responsibility and we are all accountable before God if this animal dies of starvation due to negligence or deliberate, and let us remember that this is a weak animal accustomed to hunting in its original environment, but inside cities and among humans it needs to be fed, you do not have to take care of it but do not let it starve to death and the good is a lot .

Scientists in the United States have made a scientific breakthrough: a one-time injection into the thigh that causes sterility in female cats and dogs.

This invention is close to receiving approval from the US Food and Drug Administration, and it may see the light of day in the next few years.
