Alaa Abdelaziz, anchor on Al-Hadath Al-Youm channel, appealed after her numbers and pictures were circulated on suspicious websites during the past few days, in an attempt to blackmail her in the manner of Basant Khaled, the Egyptian girl who ended her life after entering a state of depression to blackmail her by fabricating pictures of her and circulating them through Social Media.

And the Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan said that the announcer, Alaa Abdel Aziz, was surprised by the presence of a strange number calling her phone frequently at two o’clock in the afternoon, and when she answered, the caller told her that her phone number and pictures are on pornographic sites, and she received many messages through the WhatsApp application.

The announcer added: "I called my lawyer and asked him about this problem, so he asked me to change the numbers, as well as someone else who said the same thing, I change my number and shut up."
