According to the medical report - "Emirates Today" obtained a copy of it - the patient contracted polio, at the age of nine, due to a severe rise in temperature, which led to the need to use an electric wheelchair, with special specifications, at a cost of 8,050 dirhams, to help him move Easily and acts as a physical therapy for him.

The patient, "Ahmed", told the story of his suffering to "Emirates Today", saying that he was paralyzed when he was nine years old, after he was exposed to a very high temperature, which led to him having convulsions, and he was taken to a medical clinic in Sudan, and the doctor gave him medicines and painkillers.

He added that the temperature had dropped, but he felt unable to stand or move, and he was taken to the clinic again, and upon seeing the doctor, he advised them to go to one of the major hospitals in Sudan, for tests to check on the health condition.

Ahmed said that his mother felt very afraid for him, and took him to the hospital, and after conducting examinations and x-rays, it was found that he was paralyzed due to the convulsions that he was subjected to.

He added that since that time he has become a person of determination, and relies mainly on moving on an electric chair, pointing out that he works as a representative for clearing transactions, and needs to move to complete the work, and the chair he has is outdated, and is constantly exposed to malfunctions, which hinders him from moving, pointing to That work is his only source of income, and the breakdown of the chair makes him unable to work.

He said that he is currently unable to buy an electric chair, and if he does not provide it, he will be unemployed and without a source of income.

He explained that he works as a representative in the private sector with a salary of 1,500 dirhams, from which he pays the rent of the common house, and sends 300 dirhams to treat his mother in Sudan, appealing to good people and people of compassionate hearts to help him arrange a wheelchair so that he can continue his life.
