On the 8th, 23 new cases of Omicron strain were confirmed in Kanagawa prefecture.



Seven of them were colleagues of the company and their families, and they had dinner at a restaurant, so the prefecture announced that the first cluster of Omicron strains had occurred in the prefecture.

According to Kanagawa Prefecture, a total of 22 men and women under the age of 70 who live in the prefecture and one man in their 50s who live outside the prefecture have been newly confirmed to be infected with the Omicron strain.



Twenty-one of them have not been overseas recently and the infection route is unknown, so they are said to be community-acquired in the prefecture.



In addition, 7 out of 21 people were colleagues of the company and their families, and they had dinner at a restaurant in the prefecture at the end of last year.

According to the prefecture, about 10 people, including these 7 people, participated in the dinner, so we are investigating the infection status of the remaining participants.



A total of 36 people have been infected with the Omicron strain confirmed in the prefecture, of which 27 are community-acquired.
