Did Emmanuel Macron's desire to "piss off the French" work?

In any case, since last Monday, more than 230,000 French people have gone to be vaccinated for the very first time.

In Corsica, a vaccination center has even embarked on 24-hour vaccination.

This is a first-time injection record for five months.

More than 200,000 French people have received their first dose since Monday.

So, to meet demand, in Sarrola-Carcopino in southern Corsica, the very first 24-hour vaccination center opened.

Take a bite at 2 a.m., so it's now possible!

The objective of this center, located about ten minutes from Ajaccio, is to increase the vaccine capacity throughout the department.

Provide service to the population

"We are in a municipality which occupies a fairly central geographical position in the Ajaccian region. We are at a crossroads between the urban and the rural. It is a service that we render to our population", affirms Alexandre Sarrola, mayor. from the community.

The 24-hour center will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays only.

"It's not zealous. There is a real demand. You pick up the lady who has an appointment this evening at 9.45 p.m., she finishes working at 8.30 p.m., she picks up her son and she comes", adds the administrative coordinator of the center.

And the order book is starting to fill up.

"We have 68 appointments for the moment and we have an average - I have just done the statistics - on every minute an appointment is made on Doctolib", she explains.

In the commercial area where the center is located, the initiative is rather well received.

"Everyone needs to be vaccinated at any time," said a passerby.

"It would be more practical in Paris or Lyon than here, adds another walker. But hey, that's not a bad idea."

The 24-hour center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m. the next day.
