In the trial of the cannibal murder of a 43-year-old man, the Berlin district court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment.
The judges saw it as proven on Friday that the teacher killed a 43-year-old mechanic in September 2020 "to live out his cannibalism fantasies". The court found him guilty of murder and disturbing the peace of the dead. The judges also determined the particular gravity of the defendant's guilt, which practically rules out early release.
The men had arranged to have sex in the teacher's apartment in Berlin-Pankow via a dating portal. After killing the man, the 42-year-old cut up the body and stored the parts in various locations in Berlin.
