According to reports, at the age of 20, Huang Hao relied on his passion for giant pandas to enter the 47940-square-kilometer Liziping National Nature Reserve in Sichuan. 9 years in the mountains and wilds, this kicked off.

As a member of the giant panda monitoring and patrol team of the Sichuan Liziping National Nature Reserve Administration, this "post-90s" ranger requires trekking through mountains and rivers in field monitoring, and surprises and dangers are normal.

No one would have thought that Huang Hao's most memorable work experience was actually a process of finding "shit".

One morning in May 2016, Huang Hao and his team members drove to Ma Madi, Liziping Township Public Welfare Village after having breakfast as usual, and began a day of field monitoring and patrol work.

It was drizzling that day. After five hours of searching, Huang Hao and his team found nothing except the old panda dung.

So, everyone discussed to search from another mountain ridge down the mountain, and before they had gone too far, Huang Hao found a bunch of fresh panda dung.

Everyone was very excited. Just as they put down their schoolbags and took out the collection bags for collection, the sound of the bamboo forest swaying and biting the bamboo came from nearby. Huang Hao and his teammates immediately watched silently. At this time, a giant panda was also facing theirs. The direction came slowly.

The group of people immediately retreated behind a tree with a diameter of about two meters and stalemate with it. At this time, the giant panda was only 4 meters away from them.

Fortunately, after approaching the collection bag and smelling it, the panda ran away. Huang Hao and his teammates also breathed a sigh of relief, both excited and scared.

In addition to giant panda monitoring and wildlife protection, Huang Hao's work also includes biodiversity monitoring, anti-poaching, forest protection and fire prevention.

When he first started this job, Huang Hao only relied on his love for giant pandas, but as time progressed, Huang Hao also discovered that besides the arduous and boring daily work, there are few other leisure activities and must be done here. What to enrich yourself.

Huang Hao said: "Field work is still very boring, but you must find a direction you like to study. I like birds more and like taking pictures. We often encounter different birds when patrolling, and I will take pictures of many birds. Go back to organize the photos and study."

During his patrolling years, Huang Hao won the Most Scientific Value Award in the 2014 Sichuan Province's First Infrared Automatic Trigger Camera Competition for his field work ability and bird species recognition ability. In June 2020, the ranger's photographs of "Looking for the Most Beautiful Spring" won the third prize of the camera group.

In addition, Huang Hao also passed the drone pilot certification through learning manipulation techniques, and carried out drone patrols.

Not long ago, Huang Hao also won the title of "Most Beautiful Ranger" in Sichuan.

He said: "This honor is not only my own, but also the honor of our monitoring patrol team. Next, we must work harder and better." (End)
