On January 5, the reporter learned from the Qinghai Provincial Administration of Qilian Mountain National Park that the bureau recently discovered the Chinese goral for the first time in the southern piedmont area of the Qilian Mountains. The new distribution record area of this species in Qinghai Province will provide important information for future research on this species and its related biology at home and abroad.

The Chinese goral is a national second-level key protected wild animal. It is similar in size to goats. It is widely distributed in central and southwestern China, and extends to Southeast Asia, India and Burma. It is mainly distributed in parts of Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, and Yunnan.
