China News Service, January 4 (Reporter Chen Jing) The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission disclosed on the 4th that between 0-24:00 on January 3, Shanghai added two new cases of local asymptomatic infections.

  Among the asymptomatic infections, one was 51 years old and one was 59 years old, both of whom came to Shanghai from other places.

After receiving an inspection from other places, Shanghai immediately implemented isolation control on the two people, and the nucleic acid test results of the municipal and district CDCs were positive.

After consultation with city-level experts, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging examination results, 2 people were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

  At present, relevant departments have traced 39 close contacts of 2 asymptomatic infected persons in Shanghai. All of them have implemented centralized isolation and observation, and terminal disinfection has been carried out on the places where asymptomatic infected persons have been active.

  At 0-24 o'clock on the 3rd, there were no new confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia in Shanghai, and 1 case of asymptomatic infection was released from medical observation.

  The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission notified on the same day that from 0-24 on January 3, 2022, through the port joint prevention and control mechanism, 29 newly imported confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia were reported.

8 new cases were cured and discharged, including 3 cases from the United Kingdom, 1 case from Ethiopia, 1 case from Guinea, 1 case from Jamaica, 1 case from Hong Kong, China, and 1 case from the United States.
