Egypt..the expected punishment for the suicide of a girl because of a fabricated scandalous picture

The father of the student, Basant Khaled, "the victim of fabricated images" in Egypt, called on the Egyptian judiciary to punish the accused, saying: "The right of my daughter will not be lost."

Khaled added: "My daughter Bassant has preserved her reputation from the people who blackmailed her, with a wronged law, and our Lord revealed the truth, and God willing, we have confidence in the Egyptian judiciary and trust in God that the right to Bassant will return," explaining that he treats his daughters not as a father but as a friend: "When I knew the matter." The videos I downloaded, and pictures, I took my daughter to the side and told her about it, such and such and such, and videos are circulating.”

And local media quoted the father of the student Basant, a victim of extortion, saying: “My daughter told me these are fabricated pictures, Dad.. Do you hear about this? And the matter ended with that, and I took her in my lap and the matter was resolved. If your daughter took a grain of fruit, and she arrived before committing suicide, we took her to the university hospital, but she breathed her last, God is sufficient for me and the best agent in those who wronged my daughter, and there is no reconciliation with them.”

The lawyer, Ashraf Farhat, the lawyer, said that the young man who fabricated the pictures committed a great disaster that affected the weak psychological state of the girl, from disturbance, defamation and abuse of her reputation, and the result was horrific, but if the girl was weak or suffering from a mental illness, then there is no fault for the young man for that, And the penalty for what he did towards her is due to information technology materials.

Ashraf added that the punishment is according to the Information Technology Law, Article 278 of the Punishment Law: “3 years in prison, and a fine of no more than 300,000 pounds.” There is a causal link between the action and the effect in the law, “but she did not kill, she committed suicide.”
