The first anniversary of the “10-year ban on fishing” in key waters of the Yangtze River Basin has been implemented. In order to consolidate the good supervision of the Yangtze River’s ban on fishing, from January 1st to 3rd, the Chongqing Agricultural Comprehensive Law Enforcement Corps organized cruise law enforcement operations for three consecutive days and dispatched more than 80 A total of law enforcement boats have inspected more than 2,000 kilometers of the Yangtze River, Wujiang River, and Jialing River.

  Judging from the inspection results, law enforcement officers found no illegal fishing activities and fishing nets, no "three noes" ships anchored on the river, and the Yangtze River's fishing ban management order was generally in good order.

The atmosphere of "no catching on the water, no selling in the market, no making in restaurants, and no eating among the people" is growing.

  In 2020, Chongqing investigated and handled 1,422 criminal and administrative cases of illegal fishing, down 37% year-on-year. Municipal platforms received 521 complaints and reports, down 23% year-on-year. The number of illegal fishing cases and complaints and reports both decreased, and illegal fishing was effectively curbed.
