Warning to all WhatsApp users... Delete these messages immediately!

Western media reported that users of the popular chat application WhatsApp are being targeted by new frauds, and the British newspaper "Express" said that with more than two billion users around the world for the WhatsApp application, the famous chat application has become a fertile ground for fraud, including fake messages with a cash reward. In return for participating in surveys or including malicious links that take users to untrusted websites.

With most people now aware of these kinds of threats, scammers are changing their tactics. Instead of just sending a message with a fake link or the promise of a cash prize, scammers are now trying to steal money and blackmail by trying to have conversations aimed at building relationships with users.

The newspaper added that the chat often begins with a simple message saying: "Sorry, who are you? I found you in my address book", and other phrases aimed at chatting with the user of the application.

And if the scammer gets a response, he will then try to gain the trust of the WhatsApp user and slowly try to extract more and more personal data about him which may end up leaving the victim at risk of being blackmailed.

The newspaper pointed out that the scammers asked the users of the application who targeted them to add them as a friend on personal accounts such as Facebook and Instagram to get pictures of the victim and try to blackmail him by faking them using programs such as "Photo Shop".

The newspaper pointed out that it is necessary if you receive any conversations on WhatsApp from people you do not know, it is wise not to respond and delete the chat without delay.
