Since Monday, children aged 5 to 11 can now be vaccinated against the coronavirus by appointment, at the Gerland sports center in Lyon.

They will receive the pediatric form of Pfizer, the civilian hospices said in a statement.

A total of 2,200 vaccinations will be carried out per week for children, spread over three days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., for a total of 15,500 injections per week (adults and children included).

Two nocturnes for 12-30 year olds

To do this, the system put in place will ramp up.

From now on, eight doctors including pediatricians, twenty nurses and ten health students will be mobilized daily to welcome visitors.

In addition, two exceptional nocturnes will be offered this week at the Palais des Sports.

They will take place Wednesday and Friday evening, from 8 p.m. to midnight.

This makes a total of 15,000 slots available on Doctolib, reserved only for the population aged 12 to 30 years.

Volunteers, who will need to make an appointment in advance, will receive a dose of Pfizer vaccine.
