Yesterday, Monday morning, the civil defense teams at Shawas Center found the body of the student, as a video clip of the vehicle that was submerged in the torrent was documented.
The brother of the deceased student, Saadi Ghassab, told Al Arabiya.net that his sister, Mona, is 15 years old, and she is in the third grade.
He added, "I was worried about the distance from the family's house 10 km, and I was very worried when I saw the intensification of rain, especially the presence of dangerous valleys, then I asked my father not to go to school, but he insisted that he take Mona to school to finish her test."
He continued, "Because of my fear, I called the school guard, and asked him to let her go out with my father at eight in the morning, but he refused to leave until after ten, and the rain at that time had intensified, so I kept feeling anxious and trying to communicate with my father and sister and make sure they approached the house ».
He added: "The anxiety did not leave me during that period. My father is old and did not pay attention to the valley, and when I was sure that he did not reach the house, I rushed to see the car floating on the water at a height of about 500 meters. I tried, in cooperation with some of the village's youth, to pull the car and tie it to a tree, But we did not find my sister until Monday morning at ten in the morning.”
Immediately, the necessary teams were moved to the site. Upon arrival, the teams retrieved the father's body and handed it over to the competent authority, while the search for his missing daughter continued until she was found on Monday morning, and the body was handed over to the competent authorities.
