Like everywhere in France, it was very cold last spring in Ille-et-Vilaine.

Between April 4 and 8, a strong episode of frost had damaged agricultural crops, and in particular fruit production (apples, pears, kiwis, currants, etc.).

Nine months later, the state of agricultural calamity has finally been recognized in the department by a ministerial decree dated December 8.

This will allow fruit growers to be compensated for losses caused by frost.

Conditions to be fulfilled in order to be compensated

To be eligible, "the losses of crops, calculated on the basis of the departmental scale, must be greater than 30% of the theoretical production and 11% of the value of the theoretical gross product of the farm", specifies this Monday the prefecture of Ille-et-Vilaine in a press release.

Requests must be made from January 10 and until February 11 to the DDTM of Ille-et-Vilaine in paper format, and until February 28 online on the TéléCalam application.
