The annual New Year's bullfighting competition was held in Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture, where large cows weighing more than 1 ton collide violently, and the venue was filled with enthusiasm.

Bullfighting in Okinawa has a history of more than 100 years, and a bullfighting competition is held every year in Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture.



On the 3rd, cows weighing 800 kg to over 1 ton participated in the match from all over the prefecture.

Bullfighting continues until two cows butt their horns and heads and one of them collapses or runs away.



When people called "Seko" shouted, the cows gradually became more competitive and fought a powerful battle, and the venue gave a big applause.



Some of the matches did not yield to each other and did not move a step for more than 10 minutes, and some matches were settled in just a few tens of seconds.



A local man in his 60s said, "I'm looking forward to seeing bullfighting with my grandchildren on New Year's Day."
