Singer Jay Park, who was recently caught up in rumors of his retirement, applied for the YouTube version of Show Me the Money 'Drop the Beat'.

On the 3rd, a video titled "Jaebum Park, drop the beat support" was uploaded on the official YouTube of hip-hop label Young & Rich Records.

In the released video, Jay Park did not say anything and started rapping to the beat. He conveyed his motivation for applying through lyrics such as "Everyone will be curious. The reason I came out, I decide. Honor rather than money" and "Rap game, it's not fun. Follow me for a drink."

After finishing rapping, Jay Park performed a one-shot performance with a bottle of the recently launched soju brand 'Wonsoju'.

Jay Park resigned from the positions of CEO of AOMG and Hier Music on the 31st of last month. The next day, SNS was deactivated and rumors of retirement were raised.

Unsurprisingly, Jay Park has publicly mentioned his retirement. In November 2020, on MBC's 'Radio Star', he said, "I am planning to retire in two years." In an interview with fashion magazine GQ in March last year, he mentioned retirement and shared his plans after retirement.

Also, on the 30th of last month, the day before resigning as CEO, he left a message on Twitter, "If I disappear or retire, please miss me."

Meanwhile, 'Drop the Beat' is a hip-hop contest survival content produced by Young & Rich Records, headed by rapper Superby. The general public, BJ, and YouTubers can all participate.
