[Explanation] On January 1, 2022, after more than two years of renovation and upgrading, the expansion area of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (hereinafter referred to as the base) opened for trial operation.

During the trial operation period, two areas, "Infinite Hills" and "Adventure Valley" will be opened to the public. There are 11 giant panda visit venues and multiple popular science venues in the area.

It is reported that the expansion area of the base is 2,535 acres. After the expansion, the total area of the base will reach 3570 acres, which is divided into 5 areas, and 19 new giant panda houses have been added.

Among them, "Infinite Hill" includes "Sunrise Pavilion", "Yingri Pavilion", "Yunri Pavilion" and "Shengri Pavilion" 4 giant panda houses, and "Adventure Valley" includes "Shanyue Pavilion" and "Yunyue Pavilion". There are 7 giant panda houses including "Autumn Moon Hall" and "Wangyue Hall".

In the case of the new park, we can actually see from the visual sense that it is more modern in its planning and design, in terms of its colors and architecture.

In fact, a feeling for tourists may be more like a "paradise" of pandas.

Our old area is actually very mature because of the development of our landscape effect for decades, so the old area feels more like a suburban and immersive ecological park.

[Explanation] In terms of animal breeding and welfare, according to the valleys, hills, dense forests and other environments where giant pandas live in the wild, the animal venues in the expansion area of the base also combine the terrain features of the shallow hills where they are located, and strive to restore the living environment of giant pandas. Only 1-2 larger visiting areas are set up in the venue, and more places are covered to better protect the privacy of giant pandas.

At the same time, the area of giant panda venues in the expanded area has been expanded to a certain extent compared to the old area, and each giant panda will have a wider space for activities.

In fact, the giant panda in the expansion area does not care about its indoor animal shelter, the room and indoor exhibition hall it stays in the evening, the indoor exhibition hall room it stays in summer, and the outdoor sports field, both in terms of area and facilities. If it is, it is a big improvement over the old district.

Especially for outdoor sports fields, some of the largest outdoor sports fields in our new expansion area have reached more than 3,000 square meters (square) meters, so it has a larger space.

[Explanation] Regarding the possible stress response of giant pandas "moving", Yang Kuixing said that the base has formulated a detailed transportation plan before moving.

At present, all the giant pandas living in the "new home" have adapted well and have no adverse reactions.

After the stress response, one of us is raised with love. If the full-time breeder targets this kind of panda with stress response, we will raise it with love. This is one aspect.

In addition, our veterinarians and doctors will also give pandas some anti-stress response health-care drugs.

After our 43 giant pandas came over, two or three of them had a little stress response. For example, they showed irritability, which is the phenomenon of constantly walking around in their new environment. Of course, this kind of pandas. After two or three days, it quickly adapted to the new environment.

[Explanation] In addition, various popular science installations are scattered all over the park. People can watch the pandas in the park while experiencing the interactive science exhibitions, learn about the knowledge of giant panda science, and pay attention to the protection of endangered animals.

We have now completed the relevant content of our popular science display in the hill area.

In the future, there will be different forms and styles of popular science displays throughout our new district.

Visitors can gain knowledge about giant pandas through these popular science displays.

The main idea of our design is not to use the traditional boring form of exhibition boards to spread the knowledge of popular science, but mainly to make some interactive display settings of this kind, so that visitors can take the initiative to explore and find the answer to this content by themselves.

[Explanation] It is reported that the Chengdu Panda Base is also closely preparing to expand the temporarily unopened areas of the area. In addition to protected animals such as giant pandas and red pandas, there will also be rare animals such as golden monkeys.
