Kyoto Prefecture announced that it has been newly confirmed that two people in the prefecture are infected with the new mutant virus "Omicron strain" of the new corona.



One of them has an unknown infection route, and Kyoto Prefecture says that there is a high possibility of a new community-acquired infection.

According to Kyoto Prefecture, two men in their 20s and 40s living in the prefecture were newly confirmed to be infected with the "Omicron strain".



The two were admitted to a hospital in the prefecture, with men in their 20s having no symptoms and men in their 40s having mild symptoms.



Of these, men in their 40s have no history of traveling abroad and the route of infection is unknown, and Kyoto Prefecture states that "there is a high possibility of a new community-acquired infection."



As a result, a total of 18 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Omicron strain in Kyoto Prefecture.
