• For a few days, Internet users have said that the bill currently presented to the National Assembly by Jean Castex provides for "the forced installation of the unvaccinated in a place which would not be their home".

  • An assertion from many sites that claim against the health policy put in place by the government to fight against Covid-19.

  • Not only is the bill on which the authors are based is dated a year ago, but it also does not contain any information that would confirm their thesis.

"Urgent: Castex tables a bill authorizing the" placement "of the unvaccinated.

This title is given to many blog articles claiming to be against the health policy implemented in France to fight against Covid-19, or even antivax for some.

These comments have been widely shared on social networks for almost a week.

According to these sites: "The placement of the unvaccinated, that is to say their forced installation in a place which would not be their home" is one of the measures of the bill number 3714 which was tabled in the 'National Assembly on December 21.

This text would use "the health pretext to transform this country into a real dictatorship".

Internet users once again compare the health measures to the practices of the Nazi regime: “The unvaccinated will be placed in concentration camps 2.0.

"

FAKE OFF

The claim published by antivax sites is false.

One of the first to publish his post was the

Strategists' Courier

, whose tweet was widely shared.

But as one internet user noted, the latter was deleted from the social network.

A few hours after the publication,

Le Courrier des strategèges

realized its error and published its mea culpa: "Many of you set the web on fire a few minutes after the publication of an erroneous article which presented as imminent ... The discussion of a bill whose text actually dated from last year.

"

A fake news that is a year late

The fake news was easily detectable: the recent bill was not yet public when the false information was disseminated.

The text which aims to strengthen the tools for managing the health crisis was tabled in the Assembly on December 27, a date subsequent to the publication of the various articles, and bears the number 4857.

On the various sites at the origin of the rumor, it is question of the bill number 3714, visible on the site of the Assembly.

But it is very clearly indicated that this text is dated December 21, 2020.

This bill had also caused great concern, as we explained a year ago.

It is the following point which had been strongly criticized: "This text would therefore make it possible, if it were voted as it is, in the event of a new state of health emergency, to require a vaccine to go to certain establishments or to carry out certain activities.

"

Faced with mounting opposition, the government decided to give up.

“Vaccination will not be compulsory (…).

In the context that we know, the government will propose to postpone the text for several months, ”said Minister Olivier Véran on the set of 20 Hours of TF1.

This restriction was also not in the 2020 bill.

When publishing his apologies, the site

Le Courrier des strategège

explains that the bill is dated.

On the other hand, its author does not say that the forced installation of the unvaccinated "in a place which would not be their home" did not appear in the text either a year ago.

The only notion of placement which appears there concerns "affected or contaminated persons", as indicated in paragraph 18.

In addition, it is stipulated that this placement is “subordinate to the medical observation of the infection or contamination of the person concerned.

“No link with vaccination therefore, which is also mentioned only once in the entire text.

This is the point raised previously which was dropped by the government.

Finally, a last point: no compulsory stay outside the home is mentioned: "The quarantine, placement and isolation measures [...] can take place, at the choice of the people who do so. object, at their home or in suitable accommodation.
