Paris Hilton enters the world of Metaverse by creating an island

Reality TV star Paris Hilton is starting the new year differently this time by offering her fans a chance to visit her island in the virtual world of Roblox.

Paris Hilton has created an online island called (Paris World) "Paris World" where visitors can explore electronic versions of her Beverly Hills home and kennel, and stroll down a walkway inspired by the venue of her wedding to her husband, Carter Ryome, this year in Santa Port. Monica in California, cruise around the island in a luxury sports car or on a yacht.

Like other places in the digital world, "Paris World" will collect small sums of money to buy virtual clothes or book a ride on a water bike.

"Metaverse, to me, is a place where you can do everything you do in your real life but in the digital world," said Paris Hilton.

Paris Hilton, 40, joins a group of celebrities and brands scrambled to gain a foothold on metaverse, a loose term referring to an ongoing virtual world.

The term gained fame after Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg changed his company's name to Meta to emphasize the pivotal role of Metaverse in its future.

Brands like Tommy Hilfiger have launched a line of electronic ready-to-wear for virtual characters on the Roblox platform.

Nike also opened a virtual world called Nike Land in November where visitors can play ball with friends and wear their virtual sneakers.

Rappers Lil Nas X and Travis Scott have given concerts last year in front of millions of virtual audiences.

Hilton rose to fame thanks to the reality TV show "The Simple Life," in which she and partner Nicole Richie ditch the opulent life to travel around the United States on a Greyhound bus.
