In August 2021, the Environmental Food and Drug Brigade of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau discovered during its work that there was illegal collection and storage of waste engine oil in a rural compound in Changping District.

Through further work, a number of illegal and criminal gangs that illegally engage in the purchase, transportation, storage, and disposal of waste engine oil have gradually come into the sight of the police.

In response to this, the Beijing police set up a special work class to fully carry out the case.

After 3 months of intensive investigation, five criminal gangs, including Zhu Mo Kuo, Li Mo She, Mei Mo Lin, Wang Mo Lai, Wu Mo Peng, etc., were finally identified. The above 5 criminal gangs were all based on relatives and fellow villagers. Link, choose an independent courtyard located on the outskirts of the village as a den for collecting and storing waste engine oil, illegally purchase the waste engine oil generated during motor vehicle maintenance from auto repair shops, and store it in an underground oil tank in the den, waiting to be accumulated to a certain amount Later, it was resold to foreign chemical companies for profit.

  After fully grasping the structure of criminal gangs and the criminal chain, on December 9th, the municipal bureau teamed up with the municipal and district eco-environmental departments to carry out a centralized network collection operation against the five criminal gangs that they had mastered in the early stage, and a total of illegal storage and waste were destroyed. There were 9 “black dens” of engine oil, 65 people were detained for criminal purposes, 12 oil tanks, more than 400 oil drums, more than 100 tons of waste engine oil were seized on the spot, and more than 50 vehicles were illegally modified to transport waste engine oil.

Currently, the case is under further work.
