The health of the orcas in Marineland d'Antibes is declining every year. The

regularly visits the park to film and observe the living conditions of the last four orcas in captivity in France. Activists sound the alarm: “Today, what we see is that the state of the basins is extremely degraded. Everything is cracked, water is seeping in, there are areas where everything has rusted. »Defects that lead to diseases for the animals: the orca Inouk has no more teeth and Moana has skin problems. Their life expectancy is drastically reduced: while a wild orca can live up to 100 years, those in captivity do not go beyond thirty years.
Dr Visser is a marine biologist and gave a report on the state of health of the orcas in Marineland: “Their poor health is mainly due to a very impoverished environment: the animals have nothing to look after, they are bored. a lot, so they gnaw on things ... 100% of adult males in captivity have sagging dorsal fins, and that's only because they live in captivity.
