The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi revealed the New Year's celebrations program, which includes a busy and varied schedule of parties for a group of Arab and international stars, promotions, fireworks, experiences, and recreational, musical and cultural events, which give the local community and visitors an exceptional opportunity to celebrate with family and friends, in Fun and cheerful atmosphere.
Al Maryah Island, the integrated destination for business and lifestyle in Abu Dhabi, will host on New Year's Eve (December 31) a live concert by the brightest stars of Arabic song, Hussain Al Jasmi, Elissa and Balqis in the southern plaza area of the island, while Bollywood star Atif Aslam sings his best works at Al Ittihad Arena on Yas Island .
The audience will be on a date with the international DJ David Guetta's award-winning music in a virtual party that will be broadcast live from the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum.
Seven fireworks displays illuminate the emirate’s sky at midnight on New Year’s Eve, over Abu Dhabi Corniche, Al Maryah Island, Saadiyat Beach Club on Saadiyat Island, Yas Bay Waterfront on Yas Island, Sheikh Zayed Festival at Al Wathba, Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium and Madinat Zayed in the Al Ain regions and Al Dhafra.
The emirate also hosts more than 40 festive and musical events, with exclusive offers and packages being offered in hotels, restaurants and shopping malls.
The New Year celebrations coincide with the winter campaign of the Abu Dhabi Shopping Season, which provides a diverse list of experiences and great deals in more than 3,500 participating stores.
The public must adhere to the precautionary measures in place, including social distancing, wearing masks and continuous sterilization, to maintain the health and safety of everyone.
And upon entering the banquet halls, the condition of green traffic must be shown on the Al-Hosn application, and a negative result for the “Covid-19” examination (PCR) received within a maximum of 48 hours, with a temperature measurement.
