Two new cases of the Omicron mutant were discovered in Algeria

Today, Sunday, the Pasteur Institute of Algeria announced the registration of two new cases of the “Omicron” mutant of the Corona virus.

And the institute revealed in a statement today, Sunday, that the matter concerns Algerian citizens coming from France and Britain, bringing the number of people infected with this mutation in the country to 4, including one case belonging to a foreign national.

The Algerian Ministry of Health had announced earlier today, Sunday, that it had recorded 261 new infections with the emerging coronavirus during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 216,637.

And the ministry revealed in a statement that it had monitored 9 new deaths, an increase of two cases from yesterday, bringing the total deaths to 6,238.
