Desmond Tutu, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate from South Africa, dies

This is reported by Sky News with reference to the Office of the President of South Africa.

“President Cyril Ramaphosa expresses deep sorrow on behalf of all South Africans at the death of Archbishop Honorary Desmond Mpilo Tutu today, Sunday, December 26, 2021,” the office said in a statement.

The Nobel Prize was awarded to Tutu in 1984 for her leadership in the anti-apartheid campaign.

Earlier it became known about the death of the 1991 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Richard Ernst.
