[Explanation] To save trouble, a bag of garbage with watermelon peels was thrown down from the 21st floor in the middle of the night, smashing the rear windshield of the neighbor's car and causing a loss of more than two thousand yuan.
Recently, 60-year-old old lady Wang was prosecuted for the crime of throwing objects at height.
On December 23, Beijing Chaoyang Court opened a court session to hear the case.

(The defendant) The act of throwing garbage from high-rise buildings and causing damage to ground vehicles has violated Article 291 of the Criminal Law of the People’s Republic of China. The facts of the crime are clear and the evidence is indeed sufficient. The crime of throwing objects shall be held criminally responsible.
[Explanation] The 68-year-old Wang is an intellectual with a bachelor’s degree.
After the incident, the police arrested him through evidence such as shopping receipts found in trash bags.

The physical certificates in this case included photos of the smashed vehicle, taken from the evidence file, photos of Wang’s place of residence obtained by the public security organs, taken from the evidence file, and shopping receipts in the garbage bags found during the on-site inspection.

At one or two o'clock in the night, I got up to go to the toilet, and later found that the watermelon trash bag was running out of soup there.
It was raining heavily outside, and my legs were not good, but anyway, these were not reasons.
[Explanation] After the incident, Wang compensated the victim for the economic loss and obtained an understanding.
At the court hearing, she wept several times, expressing shame and regret.

The prosecutor said that "I am doing it for convenience" are all said to be light. In fact, I am very ashamed. I think this is not a matter of convenience. I really do not have enough self-discipline. I am ashamed. I have nothing to say.
[Explanation] After hearing, the Chaoyang Court held that the defendant Wang Mou truthfully confessed the crime committed, voluntarily pleaded guilty, pleaded guilty, compensated the victim for economic losses and obtained understanding. The court imposed a lighter punishment on him and announced a suspended sentence in accordance with the law.

Defendant Wang committed the crime of throwing objects at height and was sentenced to 4 months of detention, 4 months of probation, and a fine of RMB 4,000. The probation period will be calculated from the day when your sentence is confirmed, and the fine will be paid within one month after the sentence becomes effective.
[Explanation] The defendant expressed his obedience to the judgment in court and did not file an appeal.
