In the middle of the year-end holiday season, sliced smoked duck breast is being recalled.
Since Monday, the Maîtres Occitans and Le Clos Saint-Sozy brands have recalled some of their products, reports Recall Conso, the site for alerts for dangerous products.
These products may contain traces of Listeria monocytogenes which can cause listeriosis. The Maîtres Occitans brand first of all recalls the product bearing the barcode 3443705058629. This is lot 212573 with a use-by date set at 12/13/2021. It was sold throughout France in Metro stores. A second product of this brand is also concerned. It bears the barcode 3443704408197 and its expiration date is identical to the first. It has been marketed by many distributors: Auchan, Carrefour, Spar, Intermarché, Leclerc, Simply or Système U.

Symptoms to watch out for
Le Clos Saint-Sozy sliced smoked duck breast sold in a few Fresh stores and at several wholesalers is also potentially contaminated.
This is lot 212573. The products concerned bear the barcode 3443705002400, 3443705062176, 3443705024150, 3443704408067 and 3443705002264. Their DLC is 13/12/2021.
It is recommended that you no longer consume these products and return them to the point of sale for a refund, or to destroy them.
In the event of symptoms (fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and stiffness) after consumption of these breasts, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
Pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly should pay special attention to these symptoms.
Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and can take up to eight weeks to incubate.
