The head of the Egyptian Acting Professions Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki, filed a complaint with the Attorney General against Dina Hussein, famous for “Dalilah,” accusing her of defaming groups of artists and the field of art through statements she made during her appearance on a satellite channel.

The statement, submitted by Shaaban Saeed, a cassation lawyer and legal advisor to the Syndicate of Representative Professions, continued that the defendant appeared on one of the channels and issued statements that insult Egyptian artists and producers.

The communication added that the defendant spoke in an abusive manner about the Egyptian artists and the way they entered art through illegal means, which caused the masses of artists to panic and resentment.

And the communication, which bore No. 126505 in 2021, continued the petitions of the Attorney General, that the defendant aimed at profiting and gaining fame through her inappropriate speech, in addition to her non-affiliation with the Syndicate of Representative Professions.

The communication demanded that the necessary legal measures be taken against the defendant, and that she be referred to the criminal court to be tried in the accusations attributed to her.
