At 600 Moganshan Road, Putuo District, Shanghai, China's first national capital machine flour mill, Fufeng Flour Mill, was born. The "new wave" and the "old" collide, and the "new" Shanghai magical landmark at the turn of the Suzhou River-Tianan Thousand Trees will officially open on December 22.

British architect Thomas Heatherwick combined China's Huangshan Mountain and Babylon Hanging Garden into one. While retaining the four historic buildings of Fufeng Flour Mill, he designed the Tianan Thousand Trees, the "sky oasis" on the Suzhou River.

The project uses a long and narrow site from top to bottom, with 400 steps and 1,000 structural columns forming a tree-like terrace on the mountain. More than 1,000 green plants will be planted in the first and second phases, plus the trees on the walkway in front of the shopping mall, which is a total of 20,000 More trees.

It is understood that there are more than 70 different tree species in the project, which can guarantee "every season green". Different tree types require different moisture and oxygen content. Each column has a set of algorithms with a built-in rainfall sensor. The soil moisture sensor automatically adjusts the sprinkling amount according to the soil moisture to realize intelligent irrigation.

As the "city of the future" where man and nature merge, green is the gene of Tianan Qianshu.

There are more than 400 open landscape terraces on the periphery of the building, which cleverly blend the natural ecology and the outdoor space.

It is understood that the green plants of the Thousand Trees Project absorb 21 tons of carbon dioxide each year, and the oxygen they produce can be used by 2,000 people.
