The National Archives’ “Memory of the Nation” pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival, which is currently located in the Al Wathba area in Abu Dhabi, and its activities will continue until the end of next March, attracted the attention of festival visitors through the pavilion’s publications and historical documents that chronicle the journey of the UAE since its establishment until now, in an innovative manner. It combines the originality of the past with modern technologies.

This year's Memory of the Nation pavilion celebrates the 50th year of the UAE, reviewing the country's journey in the past 50 years, through historical pages that document the UAE's renaissance and development, and its achievements in various fields. The pavilion receives its visitors with pictures of the founding fathers of the Union, and information about them, while in the middle of this part is a picture of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, and a saying of him dating back to 1974, which is: “The fruits of the efforts that were made in the country have begun to bloom and herald All the best, God willing, and this good news should increase our faith and confidence in ourselves and our union, and motivate us to work more and more.” The pavilion also displays the "Book of the Union", which reviews the bilateral agreements signed between Abu Dhabi on the one hand and the rest of the Emirates on the other, in preparation for the declaration of the union and the establishment of the state.

In conjunction with the country's hosting of the "Expo 2020 Dubai", the pavilion sheds light on the first Emirati participation in the "Expo", and it was in 1970, that is, before the establishment of the Union, where the Emirate of Abu Dhabi participated in the "Expo Osaka" in Japan, where the owner visited His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, Japan at the time, and was Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to open the Abu Dhabi pavilion at the exhibition, and met at that time, Crown Prince of Japan Akihito, who is the current Emperor.

The "Memory of the Nation" also displays a collection of commemorative coins, postage stamps, and a music tape containing a number of patriotic songs.
