Scheduled for this Monday in Bamako, the tête-à-tête between Emmanuel Macron and Colonel Assimi Goïta will not take place.

Reasons given, the health situation in France but also the format of the meeting proposed by Paris, the Élysée wishing to take the opportunity to organize a mini-summit with the current presidents of ECOWAS and the G5 Sahel.

Is the cancellation of this visit likely to further degrade Franco-Malian relations?
