Enough with classic bikes?
Welcome to Louis' workshop, who makes bamboo bikes!
For the young engineer, it is more a passion than a profession, born thanks to his brother, who encouraged him to make bikes for the family.
But the budding craftsman couldn't stop and now makes around ten bikes in a good year.
Each piece can take between 50 and 250 hours of work: “What takes a lot of time are the small details, but me, that's what I love.
"And each product is unique:" Each time, you adapt, and that's what's cool, which is sometimes a bit of a headache.
"
Count around 3,500 euros for a bike: "I'm looking to make rather high-end bikes, I don't want to spend fifty or 100 hours making a frame and then put on low-end parts", explains Louis. , who opened the doors of his workshop to our partner Brut.
