Yesterday, the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, in cooperation with the Media Office of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, launched the “The Most Beautiful Winter in the World” competition for photography, as part of the activities of the second season of the “The Most Beautiful Winter in the World” campaign, to introduce the people of the Emirates and tourists From different parts of the world, through the creation of the image and the lens, in the warmth of the country’s winter, the multiplicity of its tourist and recreational attractions, the beauty of its natural terrain, the hospitality and diversity of its society.

The competition highlights the most beautiful recreational, cultural and natural landmarks of the Emirates, introduces its diverse tourism activities, and encourages - in parallel with the "The Most Beautiful Winter in the World" campaign - different groups to participate, and capture its most beautiful natural terrain of deserts, valleys, mountains and seas, in addition to highlighting the diversity of wildlife, and celebrating With the faces, streets and society of the Emirates with the creativity of their lenses.

The competition includes two main categories: the “single image” category, which is open to the general public, and covers five topics: the desert, the sea, the mountain, valleys, and the Emirates from above, and the “photo file” category for the photographers’ audience, which covers four topics: the Emirates in your eyes, wild Emirates, faces from the Emirates, street life from the Emirates.

The competition will run from December 20, 2021 until January 20, 2022, to culminate at the end of the campaign with an awards ceremony and honoring the winners, with a prize for each of the five topics within the category of one image available to the general public at a value of 7000 dirhams for each prize, provided that the participant publishes the image in his personal account On the Instagram platform, with the addition of the hashtag #The most beautiful_winter_in the world, and a prize for each of the four topics in the category of a special photographic file for the audience of professional photographers, at a value of 50 thousand dirhams for each prize, and a total of prizes equivalent to 250 thousand dirhams.
