On Sunday afternoon, the Armenian Maléna won the Eurovision Junior 2021 organized at the Seine Musicale (Hauts-de-Seine) and the French Enzo placed third, just behind the Polish Sara James.

Broadcast live on France 2 from 4 p.m., and commented by Laurence Boccolini and Stéphane Bern, the show was followed by 1.64 million viewers, according to Médiametrie.

The musical competition achieved an audience share of 12%.

An improvement in score compared to the 2020 edition, organized by Poland.

1.21 million people (7.3% of pda) had witnessed, on the second channel, the victory of the French Valentina.

In total, the 2020 contest had been followed by 32 million people (this figure does not take into account the audience of the show's stream on the official YouTube page) around the world.

Handball competition

This year, the 19 candidate countries broadcast Junior Eurovision Song Contest, as well as Iceland, which plans to soon enter the competition featuring children and adolescents under the age of 15.

Note that Eurovision Junior faced serious competition: the final of the women's handball world.

4.30 million viewers (26.2% of pda) saw the French women, reigning Olympic champions, on TF1, bow to the Norwegians.
