He also noted that 5 mm of precipitation fell at the VDNKh base meteorological station in Moscow over the past night, due to which the snowdrifts grew from 17 to 23 cm, while the norm for this time of year is 15 cm. 

Earlier, the chief specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, in an interview with Radio 1, said when the last heavy snowfall is expected in the metropolitan region in 2021.
