Thirteen political parties and eight political groups were invited yesterday by Prime Minister Patrick Achi for the resumption of political dialogue.

Discussions to take place next Tuesday, the Minister of the Interior asked these 21 political parties to send the terms of reference they wish to discuss that day.

But while waiting for December 21, therefore, the Ivorian press, with rare exceptions, welcomes this resumption of dialogue this morning.

The front page of the government daily

Fraternité Matin

thus hoists these words from the Prime Minister, yesterday at the opening of the dialogue: "

There will be only one winner: the Ivory Coast and the Ivorians

" (and we will admit here that the expression "

 a single winner

" to designate in fact several million is a kind of figure of

speech

) ...

La Une du

Patriote

preferred to choose these other words in the voice of Patrick Achi: "

 The Ivorians are watching us

".

A phrase in the form of a warning that the headline of this daily close to the RDR of Alassane Ouattara therefore proclaims.

"

Let us find adequate solutions in concert to the political life of the country ... our citizens are watching us

", repeats this same Patrick Achi on that of the daily

Le Nouveau Réveil

, while that of this other newspaper close to the PDCI of former President Bédié that is the Aries wonders if Patrick Achi can or not “

 succeed

”, being reminded that the Ivorian Prime Minister is a defector of the PDCI, the former single party created by the father of the Ivorian nation Félix Houphouët-Boigny.

This resumption of political dialogue, “

 that's good. And that's a good thing

 ”, rejoices the newspaper

Le Temps

. Faithful to the slogan of the former president Laurent Gbagbo, who is in the habit of saying "

Let us sit down and discuss

", this daily newspaper which is close to him notes that "

it is not enough to sit around a table. You have to sit down well to speak well. And speak well, to save the Ivory Coast

 ”, states

Le Temps

, there must be no“

taboo subject (…) We must tell ourselves the truths, so that the truths heal (…) To forgive, we must to be strong

”.

In Burkina Faso, the newspaper

Le Pays

considers that the stakes of this political dialogue in Côte d'Ivoire are "

enormous

".

By hoping that "

the mountain does not give birth to a mouse" and in

waiting

to see "if the fruits of this political dialogue will keep the promise of the flowers" of the appeasement of the socio-political climate,

Le Pays

ensures that the Côte d'Ivoire is "on the right track".

In Cameroon, it will be necessary to be vaccinated against the coronavirus to access the stands of the matches of the CAN, the African Cup of Nations.

As for Cameroonian players playing in Europe, they will be tested daily

So wants the European Club Association, and these measures have been endorsed by the African Football Confederation and Cameroon, the host country of the next CAN.

Measures which are everything, except to the taste of the press in Africa.

Witness

Cameroon Tribune

, whose headline is unequivocal: “

It will be test and vaccine!

This Cameroonian daily therefore specifies that the public must first be vaccinated, then present a negative test of less than 24 hours or 72 hours depending on the case

”.

But the most virulent African newspaper this morning is undoubtedly the Ouagalan daily Wakat Sera which says "

no to the umpteenth sabotage hatched by the Europeans!"

".

According to this Burkinabé daily, this "

 fatal will

" of the European Association of Clubs must be all the more "

fought with the last energy

 " in Europe "

competitions are taking place with a mad world in the stadiums, in contempt. almost generalized physical distancing and wearing of masks , ”

Wakat Sera

 indignantly

.

Which colleague is not fooled, convinced that he is "

that this measure which will deprive the CAN of its stars, is based solely on the defense of the financial interests of the clubs which will find themselves without their elements of choice in league matches.

Business and nothing but business, without any moral concern, nor respect for Africa!

", The

Wakat Sera

newspaper

ranted

.
