temperature this morning fell by more than 10 degrees compared to yesterday (17th) due to the influence of cold air moving south from the northwest.
Cold wave advisories have been issued for most of the country except for the west coast and Gangwon east coast. .
The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that the temperature will drop to below minus 15 degrees this morning in some areas in eastern Gyeonggi-do.
In the metropolitan area today, sub-zero temperatures continue during the day and the wind is strong, so the perceived temperature is expected to be lower.
In the Honam and Chungcheong regions where a heavy snow advisory was issued as a snow cloud belt developed in the West Sea came in, 4.7 cm of snow fell on Gochang 11.4 cm, Gwangju 5.4, and Yeongwang 5.4 Sunchang.
Starting today, heavy snow is expected to fall in the metropolitan area and Gangwon-do for a short period of time.
