In SVT Edit's documentary What Happened to Gina Dirawi, a picture was drawn of a young, colorful personality who went from homemade sketch videos to becoming a Christmas host on SVT.
But it was met by a huge storm of hatred, and the TV star disappeared from the limelight for several years.
Now she is back, as host of the Golden Bug Gala.
- It's been a few years now since I was on TV but it feels very, very fun.
It's a fun year with great themes in the films, which makes my job much easier, says Gina Dirawi.
Gina Dirawi has previously led the Melodifestivalen and Grammisgalan.
Who will take home the coveted rams will be ready on January 24 when the gala kicks off.
