On Wednesday, December 15, the fantastic action movie Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in Russia - the third film about a superhero starring Tom Holland.

The film also stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the time and space-transforming Doctor Strange.

The beloved of Peter Parker was again played by Zenday, and the best friend was played by Jacob Batalon.

It was directed by John Watts, who directed two previous films about Spider-Man in the MCU (in 2015, Sony and Marvel struck a deal to use the rights to the superhero).

This time the visuals were handled by cameraman Mauro Fiore, who won an Oscar for James Cameron's Avatar.

The new film kicks off with a post-credits scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home - now the world knows that a teenager named Peter Parker is hiding under the guise of a superhero.

This is already posthumously reported by the antagonist of Spider-Man Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

However, he falsely accuses Parker of his murder.

Such fame is not to the liking of the protagonist.

Now, despite all the feats, in the eyes of society, he becomes enemy number one.

The viewer is immediately introduced to the circumstances in which the protagonist finds himself.

The exposition turned out to be short, but very informative.

As a result, timing remains for major events.

One of the disseminators of information about Spider-Man is the editor of the fictional newspaper The Daily Bugle, Jay John Jameson, known to viewers for the superhero trilogy with Tobey Maguire.

Other characters from previous films also appear in the tape.

The Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Sandman (Thomas Hayden Church), Lizard (Rhys Ivans) and Electro (Jamie Foxx) were also seen in the No Way Home trailer.

In the new tape, the villains find themselves in actual reality.

The reason for their teleportation is Peter Parker himself and his immaturity.

After all the serious battles (including saving humanity in the Avengers team), the protagonist is still a schoolboy with a teenage mindset and related problems.

This especially sets Spider-Man John Watts apart from the two previous versions of the superhero. His trilogy is the gradual maturation of Peter Parker, watching him learn to take responsibility for his actions and decisions. This character of Tom Holland is very impressed with the viewer. The clumsy teenage image is also closest to the original Spider-Man, created by Stan Lee in the 1960s during the period of the popularity of comics primarily among teenagers.

In the tape, the main character turns to Doctor Strange for help.

He casts a spell that should make everyone forget who Peter Parker is.

Without thinking through the plan to the end, the young superhero suddenly realizes that he does not want to be forgotten by his loved ones.

Strange tries to conjure exceptions, but the spell gets out of control and a gap arises between the universes - antiheroes are transferred through it.

Once again, Spider-Man wanted the best, but it turned out as always.

Strange himself calls him "still a boy" and accuses him of rash decisions.

However, the circumstances in the film show how Tom Holland's character has matured.

Now he and his friends are in high school, talking about college, and Parker is romantically involved with MJ.

Even the humor, which Marvel consistently tries to maintain at a high level, has also become a little older in the new film (for example, jokes about sex slip at the very beginning).

The speech of the heroes turned out to be very lively.

Peter Parker, in some crucial moments, when it is necessary to say a motivational word, does it rather crumpled and awkward.

However, such a scripted technique gives his speech more sincerity and makes the character natural.

The picture became a series of numerous references to superhero films, mainly to previous films about the adventures of Spider-Man.

This is evidenced not only by the characters themselves, but also by their words.

In particular, Norman Osborn (aka the Green Goblin) says that he is a kind of scientist himself (the words have become a meme).

And Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) quotes Uncle Ben from the previous parts, saying that with great power comes great responsibility.

Spider-Man fans will enjoy the new tape.

The painting represents the nostalgic unity of the Peter Parker franchise.

Thanks to the large number of references, the viewer familiar with this universe can feel like one of the heroes.

However, what became a plus for the fans turned into a minus for the rest of the audience. For those who have not watched previous films, a significant part of the tape may seem incomprehensible. There are critically few new characters here. The history of the formation of the villains is presented in a couple of phrases, their motivation is also mostly revealed without details. It is almost impossible to perceive "No Way Home" apart from other films in the series.

And yet the tape "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was a good conclusion to the trilogy about this superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Despite the open ending, I involuntarily want to put an end to it and hope that if Spider-Man returns, it will be in a different story and maybe even performed by a different actor.

Earlier this was expected, but in November, producer Amy Pascal said that work is already underway on the continuation of the story of the superhero.

A total of three films are planned to be shot.
