In Tianxingzhou, Nanzhou National Wetland Park Conservation Area, Nan County, Hunan, the wetlands are rippling with blue waves in winter. A group of "elves" on the lake are happily foraging for food, occasionally flapping their wings and pecking feathers, circling and dancing, swooping down into the reeds.

This is an important hinterland of Dongting Lake. It is surrounded by Dongting Lake on all sides. It is the corridor of east and west Dongting Lake, with a total area of 11383.5 hectares.

The wetland is full of reeds, fish, shrimp and other foods. It is a habitat for winter migratory birds.

In recent years, Nan County has continued to carry out special actions such as wetland protection and ecological restoration, bans, poaching prevention, patrol and supervision, etc., resulting in continuous improvement of the ecological environment and biodiversity, attracting tens of thousands of migratory birds to live here every year, including swans, Herons, egrets, grey geese, etc.
