The reservation rate is 33.7%, which is about 60% of the pre-infection level, although the number of reservations has increased from the year-end and New Year holidays of the previous year, which was the lowest ever due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

As of the 13th, JR Group companies announced the reservation status of reserved seats for the year-end and New Year holidays from December 28th to January 5th.

According to this, the reservation rate is 40.7% for the Tohoku Shinkansen and 30.7% for the Tokaido Shinkansen, although the number of Shinkansen has increased since the year-end and New Year holidays of the previous year, which was the lowest ever due to the influence of the new coronavirus. The reservation rate for the entire JR Group is approximately 33.7%, with 30.6% on the Sanyo Shinkansen and 30.8% on the Kyushu Shinkansen.



The number of reserved seats was 1.91 million, an increase of 89% from the year-end and New Year holidays of the previous year, which was the lowest ever, but it is still 61% of the level before the spread of infection.
