Sharjah Events Festival concludes its first session with the participation of 15,000 visitors and the organization of 150 events

Over the course of two continuous days, visitors and residents of the Emirate of Sharjah experienced wandering in the middle of an open-air entertainment carnival, where Al Majaz Theater opened its doors to host the “Sharjah Events Festival”, which gathered in one space, for the first time, more than 25 government and private institutions and authorities from Sharjah , to present its experience and organize creative and educational events that enrich the audience and lead them to a world of imagination and entertainment.

Starting from the main corridor to enter the theater, to its corners, external plazas and corridors, the festival lit up Al Majaz Theatre, to form a panel of light in the heart of Khaled Lake, gathering artists, performers, talented people, musicians, and athletes, who accompanied the visitors, adults and children, to tales of fun, They led their passion to enjoy the event, which concluded its activities, hosting more than 15,000 visitors who attended and participated in 150 diverse activities and events.

Giant balloons in the form of mythical creatures flying in the festival space, acrobats, clowns, teams carrying drums, and others wearing amazing costumes, painted the features of the festival, and transformed the slogan of its first session "shining with its activities" into a live experience on the ground.

Between the hanging hammocks in the courtyards, and the charming hammocks that pass through a waterfall, the visitors of the festival moved, and lived a family fun experience that appeared on the faces of the youngsters and their parents as they pursued a clown who made a smile on their faces with his funny movements.

From strong competitions to win giant chess in which stones stand tall for children, and players move them while standing, to competitions to win the game XO, to knowledge competitions to search for treasure, sports games and physical strength tests, the audience lived moments of challenge and competition, in which the winners won valuable prizes.

In front of a huge screen, the festival’s visitors sat on the ground, watching short and long films, where colorful balloon seats were distributed in a wide courtyard, to allow the audience the opportunity to travel to stories and stories from different countries of the world, presented by the lenses of international directors.

The festival’s audience moved between following the performances of traditional bands and live cooking shows, to theatrical performances, to getting to know rare archaeological artifacts on the “Museum on the Road” bus, not ending with the concerts presented by young talents from university students and young visitors.

All these events and others were held in the outer courtyards of Al Majaz Theatre, while the theater halls were designated to organize a series of awareness and educational workshops, presented by experts, trainers, and researchers, focusing entirely on child protection, managing daily affairs, enhancing professional skills, and other knowledge.

Director-General of the Sharjah Government Media Office, Tariq Saeed Alai, said: "Live communication with the public was one of the first goals of the Sharjah Events Festival, and this was achieved on the ground, and we witnessed its impact by the size of the audience's interaction with the efforts provided by the participating bodies and institutions, as the festival was an ideal opportunity to introduce The development movement that the emirate is advancing with the directives and visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.”

The festival witnessed the launch of the agenda of events organized by the departments and authorities of the Emirate of Sharjah in the year 2022, in various cultural, economic, scientific, heritage, sports, artistic and recreational fields, targeting groups and segments of society with different interests throughout the year.
